
Time to up my breakfast game – these are better than Eggos and a huge hit in my house!
1/2 CUP WHITE FLOUR (YOU CAN USE ALL WHOLE WHEAT FLOUR BUT IT MAKES THE CAKES MORE DENSE
1/2 CUP WHOLE WHEAT FLOUR
1 TABLESPOONS SUGAR
2 TEASPOONS BAKING POWDER
1/4 TEASPOONS BAKING SODA
1/4 TEASPOONS SALT
1 BEATEN EGG
1 CUP MILK
2 TABLESPOONS APPLESAUCE or MELTED COCONUT OIL
* for waffles, add 1T honey
* add smashed banana or blueberries
STEP 1:
Combine the dry ingredients in a medium sized bowl.
STEP 2:
In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk and oil or applesauce.
STEP 3:
Pour the wet ingredient mix into the drys and stir until smooth.
STEP 4:
Cook in a preheated waffle iron or hot skillet for pancakes.
