When a woman gives birth, the process inevitably inflicts trauma on the tissues of the uterus, cervix, and abdominal wall—even though technically her body is made for having children, she can’t always escape unscathed!
To gain integrity in the core, we use progressive movements, starting with the innermost core muscles. Then we build on that and add the rectus abdominis, obliques, glutes, hips and other back muscles. It is important to build on a strong foundation. Remember the Three Little Pigs? Well the house made of straw was not strong, but the house made of bricks made for a strong foundation!
