Become "SuperMom" in 3 Easy Steps
After finishing the workout for Fit Pregnancy magazine's SuperMom workout (out this month), I thought to myself "does SuperMom really exist?" Can one mom really do it all? I certainly have not come close to being SuperMom, but I've put together a list to help organize your life - and not just your workouts:
1. Make a “To Do Now” List and a “To Do within 6 months” List. The “To Do Now” list should be comprised of things you can finish immediately, like signing your daughter up for pre-school. The “To Do within 6 months” list should be comprised of goals that you would like to accomplish soon. It’s time to write them down and put them on a timeline!
2. Create a Calendar of your everyday activities. Are you guilty of not finishing a task before you move onto the next? Or do you feel like you never get anything done? Well it’s time to listen to Super Nanny and write out your weekly list. Maybe your list will look something like this:
Monday
Whether you are a Work-at-Home-Mom (WAHM), working mom or Stay-at-Home-Mom (SAHM) you need a written schedule. I recommend staying within the perimeters you set for yourself. Otherwise you will end up checking your emails or Facebook when you could be spending time with the kids.
3. Prioritize your daily agenda. Whether it’s typed in a Phone App or written on a piece of paper, revisit your agenda and prioritize as the day changes. You are more than likely not going to finish everything on your agenda so make sure you do the most important things first!
So maybe you are not SuperMom in society’s eyes, but I am sure you are SuperMom to the most important people in your life – your family. And these 3 steps will help you prioritize what’s important on a daily basis. You can do it, one step at a time.
